That means your would have to pay additional $280 in federal taxes. Income Tax Calculator shows current and past tax brackets and estimates federal tax for years 2000-2008. I was excited to find the application but was disappointed to find it was outdated. I ended up uninstalling the app and used a Java application on the web.

Hi Thanks for the download,
I am a small business owner and was looking for a way to figure out how much I need to be billing, factoring in income tax, wcb, etc...
your program shows tax rates for 2008 not 2009 and i am not able to input the new rates.
It does not confirm the rates are based on federal and provincial rates. What would really be helpful(and i would pay)is a program that considers how many employees and their rate, all employee costs that the company has to pay and overhead. Feel free to contact me for more info. Mike

This application is just what I need, otherwise I was in for a long session with Excel to figure it out. Tax laws were invented by mathematicians it would seem...or perhaps accountants.

I found that the Income Tax Calculator was a interesting product. It was not exactly what I was looking for but I was able to figure out what I needed to know using it.

Exactly what I needed
I wanted a quick and dirty tax calculator, and this program fit the bill perfectly. I look forward to the 2009 version.

Simple but effective
If you are looking for a simple tool that will tell you your tax bracket and estimate your federal tax then this will do the job. It is not a replacement for a tax application like turbo tax. Just a simple interface where you enter your taxable income and it tell you how much the IRS will want.

Program works as advertised, very simple, gets the job done, if you need to know what % need to come out of your check this will tell you.

Gives a Good Estimate
This calculator provides a nice quick estimate. It might be better as just a web based application as it doesn't really do enough to justify downloading and installing on you pc.
